Visit to Tayan by the Artvin Foundation

The Artvin Foundation, one of Bursa’s long-standing and influential civil society organizations, continues to expand its strong network of connections with key figures shaping the city’s life. The foundation, which carries out its work with the aim of strengthening social solidarity, preserving local values, and contributing to Bursa’s social fabric, is drawing attention with the meaningful visits it conducts in this regard.

Under the leadership of Neurosurgeon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnan Demirci, who currently serves as the foundation’s president, the board of directors is meeting with prominent figures to exchange ideas and strengthen inter-institutional relations. The most recent visit in this context was to Turhan Tayan, a seasoned and respected figure in Turkish politics. In addition to his duties in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Tayan, who has previously held critical positions such as Minister of National Education and Minister of National Defense, hosted the foundation delegation at his home in Bademli. The visit, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, covered not only past memories but also current developments. Discussions focused on Bursa’s current situation, its future potential, and key issues on the national agenda. Erten Kayan, who also serves as Vice President of the Artvin Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tan Schools, mentioned Turhan Tayan’s past ties with his family in his remarks during the visit. Recalling his friendship with Tayan’s late father, Kayan expressed his gratitude to Tayan and thanked him for the services he has provided to Bursa and his long-standing contributions to the public good. During the visit, comprehensive information was also shared regarding the projects and objectives of the foundation. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnan Demirci and Erten Kayan emphasized that the Artvin Foundation is not merely a structure that strengthens community solidarity but has also become a key actor contributing to Bursa’s socio-economic development. It was noted that the foundation, which operates across a wide range of activities from education to culture, and from social assistance to economic partnerships, is growing day by day and increasing its impact.
